Since 1984, Sandy Valley Abuse Center
(now Turning Point Domestic Violence Services)
has focused on empowering victims of domestic violence to end their personal struggles with abuse.
Founded more than 30 years ago, the center has provided emergency shelter, advocacy, support, referrals and guidance to families in crisis.
The center serves the Big Sandy Area Development District, including Floyd, Johnson, Magoffin, Martin and Pike Counties. Clients can refer themselves or be referred by local law enforcement or community agencies.
